We aim to offer students accessible and flexible learning experience through the use of cutting edge instructional technologies for an anytime, anywhere, at any pace learning experience through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) systems. The availability of this form of continuous learning will provide a means for all Botswana Open University (BOU) students to keep up with changes in technology, and content delivery methods, and serve to encourage individuals for whom self-development is a priority. The University is using an Open Source software called Moodle as its Content Management System (CMS) and Learning Management System (LMS).
E-Learning formats vary widely with text-only formats being the most basic and common. Combinations of graphics, quizzes, audio, and video components are other common variations normally delivered via the Internet, CD ROM or any electronic means of communication including through mobile technologies such as mobile phones.
